Inspired Minds Learning began with one simple belief. Every child deserves the chance to feel confident, capable and excited about reading. Today that belief shapes everything we do and every child we support.
At the heart of the Inspired Readers Route is a simple but powerful three step learning method that makes reading finally click for every child. It has been carefully designed to follow the way children actually learn, giving them the structure, support and confidence they need to make real, lasting progress.

Confidence: When children feel successful, they feel motivated to keep learning. By celebrating their progress and reinforcing their strengths, we help them believe in their abilities and approach reading with enthusiasm and self-assurance.
Competence: Strong readers are built on solid phonics foundations. Our structured, expert-led approach ensures that children develop the essential skills needed to decode, blend, and read fluently—giving them the competence to tackle any reading challenge with ease.
Curiosity: Reading should spark wonder and excitement! Through interactive lessons, engaging activities, and real-world applications, we inspire children to see reading as an adventure—fueling their curiosity and encouraging them to explore books with joy and confidence.
By weaving confidence, competence, and curiosity into every session, we create a powerful learning experience that sets children up for reading success—not just for now, but for life.

My story begins in a small classroom where I was the quiet child who avoided reading out loud. I remember the tight feeling in my chest when the teacher asked us to take turns. I would count ahead in the book, trying to work out which sentence might land on me. I hoped I would not misread a word or say something that made everyone laugh. Reading did not come naturally to me and it never felt enjoyable. It felt like something I had to survive.
Years later, when I started teaching, I noticed the same look on so many little faces. The hesitation. The worry. The fear of getting it wrong. I promised myself that no child would feel how I once felt if I could help it. I wanted reading to feel like an adventure for them. I wanted it to feel exciting and safe. I wanted children to feel proud of themselves.
That promise became the foundation of Inspired Minds Learning.
After years of teaching across early years and KS1, leading phonics and guiding staff through the curriculum, I finally created a system that worked for every child I taught. Busy children. Quiet children. Children who guessed every word. Children who mixed up sounds. Children who avoided books altogether. I saw them transform into readers who smiled when they opened a book. That was when everything changed for me.
I realised that it is never too early or too late to give a child the tools they need to read confidently. All they need is a clear method, a patient teacher and someone who believes in them completely.
Today I work with families every week, helping children build the confidence I wish I had when I was young. The Inspired Readers Route is the result of everything I have learnt, everything I wish I had known as a child and everything I know parents need to support their children without feeling lost.
This work is not just my career. It is my purpose.
Every child deserves a moment where reading finally clicks.
I get to witness that moment every single day.
